Last week we launched a new site for Health Enterprises (healthenterprises.com), a global supplier of consumer healthcare products and a Newfangled client for over eight years.
The previous site had been designed in 2002 and was in need of an update. A lot has changed on the web over the past eight years and we felt that their site could be a much more productive part of their overall marketing effort.
In addition to upgrading their site to the latest version of the NewfangledCMS, we redesigned their user interface while keeping the site architecture in place for the most part.
We began the design phase with two mood boards that presented a more current and professional look and feel that would give consumers, suppliers and retailers the accurate sense that Health Enterprises is alive and well as a company.
After the client selected a mood board we proceeded to develop page templates, focusing first on the product detail pages since they would receive the lion’s share of site traffic. The new product pages provide a much improved user experience that gives visitors all related info for a particular product including multiple photos, complete product descriptions, videos, sales sheets, and client testimonials.
The redesigned home page makes more efficient use of browser real estate, pushing featured products, events and news to the surface as well as clearly positioning Health Enterprises in the marketplace.
