The following types of items can be designated as Smart CTAs:

Forms

Gravity Form
Any gravity form not intentionally excluded (Settings > Newfangled Progressive Profiling > Exclude From Smart CTA) will appear in the list of Smart CTAs as a discrete item. When selected, the form will show until the prospect completes that form anywhere on the site.

Content Promotions

Gated Content Promotions (Limit 2)
This will cycle through two posts with a content gate – Gated Posts, Webinar posts, and posts that contain an embedded Gated Content Widget – until the prospect has completed the form to access both of them. If possible, these will be determined based on relevancy, matching the prospect’s reading trends. Otherwise, this will show the two most recently published items.

All Gated Content Promotions
This will cycle through all posts with a content gate – Gated Posts, Webinar posts, and posts that contain an embedded Gated Content Widget – until the prospect has completed the form to access all of them. If possible, these will be ordered by relevancy, matching the prospect’s reading trends. Otherwise, they will be ordered by published date.

Any specific Gated Post
Any gated post will appear in the list of Smart CTAs as a discrete item. When selected, the Gated Post will display until the prospect completes the form to access that piece of content.

Any specific Webinar post
Any webinar post will appear in the list of Smart CTAs as a discrete item. When selected, the webinar post will display until the prospect completes the form to access that piece of content.
