Overview

The Newfangled Webinars plugin allows you to designate certain posts as ‘Webinar’ and/or configure a custom post type(s) to always be treated as a ‘Webinar’.On initial page load, webinar posts will only display the main content on the page followed by a content gate form — one for upcoming webinars and one for past webinars. The form is set globally in WordPress under Settings > Newfangled Webinars. The sidebar widget area (Appearance > Widgets > Insights Detail Pages Sidebar) will be hidden when the form has not yet been filled out by the prospect.

Past webinars may display a Not Yet Available message in place of the content gate form. This allows for a period of time — beginning immediately after the webinar begins and ending when the recorded video is available and posted to the site — during which the content gate form is hidden from the prospect.

Once the form is submitted, the page will reload and display ‘Post Registration Content’ along with the sidebar widget area. After a prospect completes the form on a webinar post, they will be cookied and will not be prompted to fill that form out again for that particular piece of content. However, other webinar posts on the site *will* require a new form submission for the prospect to access the ‘Post Registration Content’ of the post.
